Monday Mischief: How to Confuse Reality Into Being More Fun
Some people tiptoe into Monday like it’s a sleeping dragon. I say kick down the door and declare, “I have arrived, and I am unreasonable about joy.”
If life always has the potential to be great (and it does), then Monday is the perfect day to practice yanking that greatness out into the open — preferably with glitter.
Here are 5 ways to confuse reality into giving you a better Monday:
1. Dress Like Your Mood Is Already Excellent
Put on your fanciest robe, sequins, or a hat that makes you feel like you own three castles. Mood follows outfit — make sure yours knows it’s invited to a party.
2. Elevate the Mundane
Pour your coffee into a champagne flute. Eat cereal with a gold spoon. It’s not breakfast — it’s a ceremony.
3. Speak in Declarations
Replace “I have a meeting” with “I am about to bestow my genius upon the council.” It changes everything.
4. Scent Your Space Like a Plot Twist
Light a candle, lather up with something decadent, or use lotion that smells like it was brewed under a crescent moon. Let the fragrance remind you that you’re in charge of the atmosphere.
5. Celebrate for No Reason
Make your own holiday. Today is “National Applaud Yourself Day.” You decide the rules.
Your life doesn’t have to wait for a “special occasion.” You are the special occasion. And if you’re ready to stock up on the magical little indulgences that make that easier, I’ve got you covered right here!
